Becoming a Member of SOHP

We invite you to become a Member of the Society for Occupational Health Psychology!

The Society offers three categories of membership:

• Student Affiliate

Student Affiliate membership status is available to those engaged in academic study related to the purposes of the Society at a recognized institution.

• Professional member

Professional membership has no requirements, other than interest in OHP and willingness to pay dues.

• Full member

Full membership requires a postgraduate degree in a field related to OHP (e.g., Occupational Health Psychology, Public Health, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene). Full members have voting rights.

Membership dues for Full and Professional members are $55 per calendar year. Student Affiliates pay dues of $25. Applications received between September 1, 2007 and and August 31, 2008 will be processed for membership during the 2008 calendar year. Dues from applications for membership received after August 21, 2008 will be applied to the 2009 calendar year.

A benefit of membership is a subscription to Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, which is provided to all members and student affiliates. Dues for members who join any time between September 2007 and August 2008 will be applied to the 2008 calendar year and they will receive a subscription to JOHP for the entire 2008 calendar year. Dues for members who join SOHP any time between September and December 2008 will be applied to the following calendar year (2009) and they will receive a subscription to JOHP for the following calendar year.

To apply for membership, complete the brief membership application and mail it back with a check or credit card information for your membership dues to Membership Committee Chair Mo Wang at the address below. Please make the check out to "SOHP".

This is an unmoderated listserv, hosted by the American Psychological Association, that is open to anyone who is interested in discussing occupational health psychology issues. Job postings and announcements of conferences and meetings are welcome. Messages of broad interest to the SOHP membership will be posted to this list.
